200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training In Rishikesh, India

“The nature of yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body.” —Jason Crandell

Yoga is an excellent gift to humanity that helps us feel better and maintain our health. You get great mental clarity and better understanding. You also create a higher patience level when you rehearse yoga, which helps keep negative thoughts away. As we all know, yoga is designed in many styles on which people can choose based on their interests and body needs. Hatha Yoga is an initial process of yoga. The word "ha" means sun, and "ta" means moon. So "Hatha" denotes yoga to balance the sun and the moon in you or the Pingala and Ida in you. Hatha Yoga is Shatanga Yoga which means six-limb yoga.

These six limbs are explained below:

  • Asana– steady, comfortable state of mind and body
  • Pranayama– expansion and controlling of your breath (prana)
  • Pratyahara– the conscious withdrawal of power from the senses
  • Dharana– getting the senses to one single point
  • Dhyana– observing the self
  • Samadhi– becoming unburdened and free from Maya

FAQs On 200 Hour Hatha YTTC India

Yes, those who are pregnant can also do our 200 hr Hatha YTTC. All physical activities are generally safe for pregnant women and when they are in menstruation. But we highly suggest you get your doctor's approval before registering for the course. To ensure a little more, discuss your pregnancy with the yoga instructor for the session so that they can skip or modify certain positions for you.

Depending on the different course modules, we have other numbers of yoga postures, but according to the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, which is an anthology that combines many Hatha texts. It includes fifteen primary postures - 7 of which are seated, and eight are non-seated. The additional 69 poses are also there, which combines to give a total of 84 asanas. But as we said, you aren't going to perform all these yoga postures in one course.

If you are a beginner to yoga and looking for a slow-paced style, you should go with Hatha yoga. Hatha yoga is always practised slowly, focusing on breathing techniques, holding physical postures, and proper alignment. Although this is not the only difference, Vinyasa yoga is a much faster and heavy-paced style that focuses on the breath to movements. In vinyasa, you hardly hold any posture; you can expect it to flow throughout the practice. If you are expecting something more challenging, vinyasa and ashtanga yoga are better options.

Many people practice yoga as a way to address their health conditions. There are various types of classes that suit different health needs and not just suit but also benefit from them. However, we won't suggest you do it if you have suffered from an injury. Though Hatha yoga is a much simpler form of yoga style, you still need to ask and get a recommendation from your doctor or physician before registering for the 200 hour hatha yoga teacher training course..
