Hatha yoga comes from Sanskrit, where "Ha" means sun and "Tha" means moon. It focuses on creating balance – just like the sun and moon balance each other! This practice aims to bring harmony to your body, mind, and spirit. One of the oldest practices around, Hatha yoga uses physical postures (called asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama). It's like a gentle dance for your body and breath. Legend has it that Lord Shiva himself began Hatha yoga. It's a powerful tool for beginners too, often forming the foundation of many yoga classes.
