WHAT YOU KNOW BEFORE THIS COURSE
Ashtanga Yoga : K Pattabhi Jois, one of the yoga gurus who popularized Ashtanga yoga with his Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore. Pattabhi Jois spent 25 years from the age of 12 learning from S. T. Krishnamacharya. He wrote a book called Yog Mala which was published in English. The book was a great success which led to inviting foreign students to learn yoga in India.
Vinyasa Yoga : Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga that involves body movement along with synchronized breathing. This is a very energetic style of yoga that involves strength and stamina to perform and perfect the style. This style is recognised to improve the connection between mind and body where your breathing works with the movement of asana, not as the requirement of the body. The body will be trained for adverse situations and having to work on different breathing conditions.
Pranayama : Pranayama is the best practice for aligning the mind and body together. With regular activities, we forget to align both our body and mind in sync making it harder to complete actions without affecting our physical or mental health. Whether it is running or playing a mind game. Synchronized breathing and body movement help reduce strain and offer improved efficiency. The process of practicing Pranayama involves different breathing techniques including inhaling, holding breath and exhaling.
