As Ashtanga yoga is a rigorous practice and our training courses are very intense, we strongly recommend that pregnant women consider taking our classes at different times. Ashtanga yoga is not a suitable Prenatal yoga practice unless you are already a well-established practitioner. This is to ensure you get the most out of your course. Please note that traditionally, in Ashtanga and yoga, women are not meant to practice for the first three months of or the first three months after giving birth. If you already have a well-established daily Ashtanga yoga practice of over a year, you can come to take the course and modify it accordingly. If you go and find you're pregnant, that's fine too, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Yes, those who are pregnant can also do our Hatha yoga course. All physical activities are generally safe for pregnant women and when they are in menstruation. But we highly suggest you get your doctor's approval before registering for the course. To ensure a little more, discuss your pregnancy with the yoga instructor for the session so that they can skip or modify certain positions for you.
During pregnancy, women often undergo stomach discomfort, pain in the lower back, acidity, general posture problems caused by the transformation of the balance centre, and the added weight (of the baby) they must carry. This is because of the incontinence and constipation problem the majority of pregnant women face. Some parts of the body you need to focus on are the pelvic area and the hips. Growing belly and breasts can also create problems in finding a comfortable position.
Yes, you can cancel the course in between. But we are sorry that you won't get any refunds or course fees back. If you have any queries related to refunds and course cancellation, feel free to connect with us.
