  • Practising yoga daily can cure many chronic and deadly diseases and fatal conditions, including diabetes, cancer, high or low blood pressure, kidney failure, liver disorders, heart ailment, and various mental problems.
  • Nowadays, it is necessary to practice yoga for people of all ages to live a healthy and better life as it provides both inner and outer body strength.
  • It acts as alternative medicine, if practised continuously, that can decrease the side effects of many heavy and harmful medications we frequently take that negatively impact our kidneys and liver.

Levels Of Courses

These courses are available at different levels. However, most programs of such duration are not so long. It would help if you also remembered that when you apply for a higher-level course with such an extended period, you need to furnish documents showing that you have already passed a previous level.

The Importance Of Being a Student

You may be a yoga teacher, but you would also know that you are still a student. The joy of learning and discovery also leads to imparting knowledge to others. It is said that we are all empty vessels waiting to be filled up. We achieve this through learning. When we study and practice yoga, we get deeper insights. It is through this knowledge that we can become better at yoga. For teachers, it is always important to continuously keep on improving and adding to one’s repertoire. That can be done only through learning. As yogic practitioners, you always yearn for a community of like-minded people who can be a part of your journey and vice versa. This is what you get through these 500 hours of yoga teacher training courses in Rishikesh.

FAQs On 500 Hour YTTC Rishikesh

Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, body, gender, and background. The essential factor in an applicant is openness and willingness to learn. At Tattvaa Yogashala, we welcome everyone to come and learn. However, our teacher training programs are rigorous, and we consider a few points when looking at our applicants to ensure you have a rewarding experience. Points we look at are:

  • How long have you been practising?
  • Your level of interest and dedication
  • Your style of practice
  • Your exposure to yoga
  • Your motivations for teaching
  • And your overall health condition

For our 500 hour YTTC though we strongly recommend the previous experience with 300 hour YTTC. Yoga is a demanding style that requires hard work and commitment. When considering our applicants, we welcome all levels and types of yoga practitioners. However, we highly recommend that you arrive with an established practice and some knowledge of the yoga system to optimise your experience with us.

For our 300 hour intermediate series courses, we require that you already have an established Primary Series practice and at least 200 hours of previous official Primary Series training either at Tattvaa Yogashala or another Yoga Alliance-recognized school. The yoga 500 hour advanced series is a highly demanding and dynamic practice requiring high levels of endurance and determination. Therefore we ask that the applicant have a strong foundation in Primary Series and optimal health before doing Intermediate Series training to ensure that you get the most out of your training and to prevent injury or overexertion. The more established your practice is before arriving, the deeper the benefits you will reap, the more complete your understanding of adjustments will be, the more enjoyable pranayama will be, and the more rewarding your whole experience. Again, our most important criteria are your openness and dedication to learning and yoga experience!

Yes, it's possible, depending on room availability. Please do contact us beforehand to get more information about availability and prices. If you wish to arrive a few nights early, please let us know in advance so we can check the availability of rooms according to your intended arrival. Otherwise, we can provide recommended guesthouse options if needed.
