Eligibility Criteria For 200 Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training India

Our Ashtanga yoga sequence course is open to learners of all levels. As the system demands, the applicant should be in good physical condition. Most importantly, the applicant arrives with an open mind and an eagerness to learn.

The student should be able to dedicate themselves entirely to the course while at Tattvaa Yogashala. The teacher training program is very demanding, with at least 9 hours daily, and 100% attendance is mandatory. Participants must follow the schedule and attend all classes, sessions, and activities. As Rishikesh is a holy city, all the food in the town is Vegetarian. Though the students do not have to maintain a vegetarian diet at home, please do not bring meat from the outside to consume to experience the full and positive benefits of the Yoga lifestyle. Alcohol and recreational drugs are also not available and are restricted in Rishikesh. Please do not bring from the outside to fully experience the benefits of yoga. The applicant should also have a basic English language understanding as the course is conducted in English, and the student will be required to speak English. Spaces in the program are based on eligibility and are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Upon Arrival For 200 Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training In India

Upon your arrival in Rishikesh, please make your way to Tattvaa Yogashala to meet us! An Orientation Meeting is held on the first day of the course at 3 pm. This meeting will introduce the students to the teachers, allow them to meet one another, and familiarise themselves with the space and course facilities. Also covered during the orientation meeting is the schedule for the course, an overview of course material, information on the location of classes, and the opportunity to ask questions about the course and Rishikesh.

Students must attend the Orientation Meeting. You are welcome to arrive early in Rishikesh to either familiarise yourself with this beautiful city or to jumpstart your training course by practising with us before your course begins. Changes are possible, but please bear the following: A student can transfer from one course to another at least one month before starting that course to attend a different course instead. We allow this transfer only once. If you cannot come, you can send someone to your place or contact us so we can let those waitlisted individuals know.
