Deposits, Cancellations & Course Dates
Places on our courses are limited and are held for you from the day you book, so deposits and course fees are not refundable. What we can almost always do instead is move you — to another date, or on to a credit you can come back and use. This page sets out exactly where each of those stands, and it is read alongside our Terms Of Service and the Rules And Regulations.
A non-refundable deposit of approximately USD 200, paid by Wise transfer, is what confirms your seat on a course. The deposit is applied to your course fee — it is not an extra charge — and it is not returned if you do not take the seat. Applications are processed first come, first served, and Tattvaa Yogashala reserves the right to accept or decline any application.
The balance of the course fee is due on Orientation Day, before the first class, and may be paid in cash (INR or USD), by debit or credit card, or by online transfer. Your tuition fee covers the course, accommodation, two meals a day, one snack with chai, and any excursions set on the itinerary. It does not cover flights, your Indian visa, travel insurance, outside meals, transport or personal expenses.
Deposits and course fees are non-refundable. Once a seat is held for you it is held out of a group with a fixed number of places, and it cannot usually be filled again at short notice. If something prevents you from travelling, tell us as early as you can — the earlier we know, the more we are able to do about your dates.
You may transfer to a different course date once, free of charge, provided you ask at least 30 days before your original start date. A transfer requested inside 30 days is at our discretion and may forfeit your deposit. If you cannot attend at all, you may nominate someone to take your place, or tell us so that we can offer the seat to a student on the waiting list.
If a student, for any reason, decides to drop the course during the first two days, they can get a partial refund. After that, the deposit paid is non-refundable.
If a student finishes the first 100hr and has to leave, payment will be held on credit for 12 months to come back and complete the course; they will get a certificate of 100hr of attendance. No refund is granted.
No part of the package price is refundable due to non-participation. A class you do not attend, a meal you do not take, a night you spend elsewhere or an excursion you skip is not deducted from the fee, because the place, the food and the teaching are all held for you whether or not you use them.
Because we do not give refunds, it is your responsibility to be fully insured against anything that stops you attending the course or makes you leave it early. We ask every trainee to carry comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the whole of their training, and we strongly recommend a policy that also covers course cancellation due to illness, injury or emergency. Providers such as World Nomads, SafetyWing and Allianz offer cover that includes yoga and adventure travel.
Tattvaa Yogashala reserves the right to alter the program or curriculum and to select staff from a pool of qualified teachers depending upon availability per training; a change of teacher or of the order of the syllabus is not a ground for a refund. In the rare case that we cancel a scheduled course outright, you may transfer to another date of your choosing or ask for a refund of everything you have paid us, including the deposit. We are not responsible for flights, visas or any other arrangement you have made around the course.
Write to us at the address below with your full name, the course and the dates you booked, the date and amount of every payment you made, and what has happened. We aim to answer within seven working days. Where a refund is due it is returned by the same route the payment arrived on, and any bank or transfer charge is deducted from the amount refunded.
